What a fantastic event tonight! Our first ever PKC45K was a huge success! Drivers were paired according to their weight, ensuring we had as close and fair matching as possible! The fastest laps from the top 6 teams were separated by just three tenths of a second, which is a testament to both the talent of the competitors and the mechanics at West Wales Karting for doing such a great job.
The race itself was a testing 70 minute endurance race which saw close racing throughout. The podium finishing teams all finished on the same lap with the driver pairing of Michael Lloyd Davies and William Samuel Dolbearclaiming the win by racking up 163 laps. In a very close second were the pairing of David Burger and Lewis Thomas with Rich Hooper and Jess Holmes rounding off the podium. A huge congratulations to every competitor who took part in the physically demanding race and a thanks is extended to the staff at West Wales Karting for hosting the event. The results from this round have turned both the Lightweight and Heavyweight standings upside down and thrown everything wide open, meaning there is still a huge opportunity for all leading drivers to seize the incredible prize of a factory tour at a top Formula 1 team. Attention now moves to Round 5, which returns to Carew Karting where the normal race format will return along with the Fastest Lap Challenge.
