The registration of the 2014 Pembrokeshire Karting Championship is now open! We are inviting anybody aged 16 or over to take part in our sixth season. Experienced drivers will race alongside beginners in equal machinery to win one of our various awards, including a VIP exclusive factory tour of a leading Formula One team!
The season will consist of 6 rounds, where each driver will race through a series of heats and a semi-final with the potential to reach the finals at each event. As always we have our hugely popular categories to ensure everybody has something to race for including the Heavyweight Championship, Rookie of the Year and Fastest Lap Challenge. For 2014 we welcome West Wales Karting to the calendar. By joining Carew Karting, our drivers must now prove they are the best not only on outdoor circuits but also indoor. This year we are also introducing B-Finals to each round so if you just miss out on the grand final, you're still able to claim some all important points. The Championship is arrive and drive, but as places at each event are limited, priority will be given to drivers who have registered through our website www.pembrokeshirekarting.co.uk. So what are you waiting for? Register now and see just how fast you can go!

Congratulations to the Pembrokeshire Hell Drivers for becoming the first team to win the inaugural Winter Endurance League, organised by Pembrokeshire Karting. Team members Adam Jones (New Hedges), Jake Roberts (Tenby), Dan Thomas (Templeton) and reigning Pembrokeshire Karting Champion Jason Cole (Pembroke) raced flawlessly during the three 2 hour endurance rounds. The Hell Drivers will now receive free entry into the Formula Dragon competition, organised by SVG Promotions, where successful entrants will progress through a series of knock out stages to receive the opportunity to become a full time touring car racing driver. Closest rivals the Average Joe's with Joshua Partis and Bleddyn Davies (Both Haverfordwest) and captained by Sam Joseph (Swansea) had nothing to lose in the final event and showed great resolve and carried out perfect pit stops but were unable to close the gap. The Salad Dodger Racing team finished third in the League but found themselves under fire from the Goodwick Motor Services team, whose victory in the final round ensured a top 4 finish. Championship Coordinator Royston Badham expressed his delight at the success of the League: "We were uncertain of how popular a karting league would be over the Winter, but the response we received from the teams and drivers was fantastic. I'd like to say a big thank you to Carew Karting and West Wales Karting for hosting the League at their tracks and cannot wait until next Winter." In total, ten teams participated in the Winter Endurance League, which was the first time a Pembrokeshire Karting Championship was held at both an indoor and outdoor karting venue. With the Winter League now over, all attention moves onto the upcoming 2014 Pembrokeshire Karting Championship. To register and for more details, please visit www.pembrokeshirekarting.co.uk |
