The wet conditions proved both popular and challenging for drivers
Sam Joseph (Swansea) recorded his second win of the season with an impressive performance on a saturated track by winning all five of his races. With the rain washing away all grip, drivers struggled to maintain control of their karts giving onlookers plenty of great photo opportunities.

Joseph claimed victory by half a second from Dan Thomas (Templeton), who was one of the favourites for the event due to his extensive experience in Autograss racing. Rookie Ross Chell (Narberth) built on a strong finish in the previous round to claim his first podium of the season ahead of Brian Newton (Llansteffan) in fourth.

Despite narrowly missing out on qualifying for the A final, Carwyn Bowen (Efailwen) asserted himself over the other drivers in the B final to claim victory, leaving many to speculate where he would've finished had he qualified for the A final.

By achieving a maximum points haul during the event, Sam Joseph increased his margin over Dan Thomas in the overall standings. A difficult round for Richard Francis (Cross Hands) sees the Heavyweight Championship close up, whilst Ross Chell now sits on top of the Rookie of the Year standings.

The next round of the 2014 Pembrokeshire Karting Championship heads indoors for the first time in it's history with West Wales Karting of Haverfordwest hosting Round 3.  The narrow, unforgiving and hugely enjoyable track will provide drivers with a huge challenge and will catch out the few drivers that prefer outdoor racing.

Round 3 takes place Saturday June 07 at 4pm. Competitors must register through www.pembrokeshirekarting.co.uk to guarantee a place. Registered drivers will take priority over arrive and driver competitors.
